# PlyDrop

## Tools
1. get_catalog: supported materials, cores, processes, limits, laminate presets and a default btp-panel/2 specification.
2. list_templates: editable sample designs and their template IDs.
3. create_part: templateId, optional widthMm/heightMm/stackId, quantity. Returns a canonical specification and designUrl.
4. validate_part: full specification. Returns canonical geometry, calculated thickness, review notes and a designUrl. Edit geometry, faces and core using the catalog and returned specification; then revalidate.
5. quote_part: full specification. Returns the instant price if plydrop.parts has already priced this exact part (every template at its starting size, at quantities 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 and 20). Otherwise it returns status not_priced and a design link where a person prices and buys the part on the website.
6. approval_drawing: full specification. Returns one approval sheet as SVG, identity hashes and a designUrl.

## Engineering conventions and handoff
- Geometry is in millimeters. Ply angles are counterclockwise from +X viewed from Face A (+Z); Face B uses those same global axes.
- Template geometry and validation do not establish structural suitability for a customer's loads or application.
- Only quote_part returns a manufacturing price. Keep exact amounts, status, quantity, currency and expiry. Review is not an instant quote; do not invent prices from materials or calculated thickness.
- Shipping, taxes, customer drawing approval and manufacturing file acceptance follow the website's checkout terms.
- Open the returned designUrl for the customer to inspect, edit, approve and purchase. The compressed design lives in the URL fragment; it is not saved to an account by MCP.
- Public tools do not access private files, orders or payments and cannot submit an order. They never start a new manufacturing quote; new sizes and layups are priced on the website.
