Solid plate

A continuous laminate for compact parts and through-bolted connections. The standard library offers nominal 8-, 12- and 16-ply carbon twill schedules with alternating 0°/45° woven orientations. These are starting configurations, not load ratings.

Sandwich panel

Skins separated by core for bending stiffness with lower areal mass than a similarly thick solid laminate. Starter combinations include carbon or glass skins with supplier catalog SAN core. Exact core grade, laminate properties and manufacturing acceptance need confirmation.

Custom materials and laminates

The full editor retains the identified material IDs, resin, orientations, core, isolation plies and finishes in the design. An unmapped material requires sourcing/review; it is never silently replaced with a generic supplier option.

Properties need a basis
