Laminate research database
Explore one material system across two test programs. Inspect the evidence, then study a laminate without confusing published averages with design allowables.

Study a laminate
Calculate linear elastic stiffness from a single cohort. This does not change a part, quote or engineering approval.
List every ply, bottom (−z) to top (+z), 1–100 plies. No implicit symmetry. Positive angles rotate x toward y.
Explicit study assumption, not a guaranteed manufactured thickness. The evidence card lists the source’s thickness basis.
Choose a program and calculate to inspect its stiffness. Strength, mass and safety factors are intentionally not inferred.
What “conservative” means here
Lower stiffness is not conservative for every load-sharing or stability problem. We do not turn a mean into an allowable by subtracting an arbitrary percentage. Structural use needs applicable statistical basis, process equivalence, environment, failure mode and engineering review.
Missing from this first release: glass, wet-layup and infusion systems, sandwich core data, fatigue and environmental envelopes. The private register of actual shop-built, lab-tested laminates remains separate.
